Crisis Management Course

Programme objective and content
This programme is aimed at those who may find themselves leading or as a member of a Crisis Management Team dealing with an issue for their organisation. The programme will also benefit a wider group of staff within the “gold (strategic), silver (tactical) and bronze (operational) hierarchy” from the first responder up to executive level.
The course is split into the following modules:
1. Leadership in a crisis
2. Preparing for a crisis
3. Detecting a crisis
4. Responding to a crisis
5. Recovering from a crisis
6. Adapting after a crisis
Each module focuses on the practical application and its effect within the workplace.
Candidates will gain an appreciation of the relationships between problem, incident, business continuity and crisis management. At the conclusion of the accreditation, they will understand the principles, strategies and techniques of crisis management.
Geographical coverage
Whilst this programme has been developed for learners in the UK and Europe, it can be equally applied to the rest of the world.
Delivery guidance
This programme is divided into 3 training days inclusive of a scenario based exercise. However, the duration, timing and delivery method of the modules can easily be adapted to reflect the needs of the learners. The learning outcomes are assessed from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
Assessment guidance
This is not a regulated qualification, nor is it recognised by the regulators of England, Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland. However, candidates will be expected to complete a portfolio of evidence, that will be internally quality assured by the centre. Upon successful completion, candidates will be awarded a certificate accredited by Highfield.
