MS Solutions Training was founded in 2020 to help businesses/organisations assess and improve their organisational resilience to disruptive events.

At its core, MS Solutions Training has consultants with over 85 years of combined experience in the emergency services. We collectively boast skills and capabilities from a wide and varied range of experiences, roles, and responsibilities in security, command & control and business continuity.
Mick Phelan
Mick is MS Solutions Training Specialist Consultant in crisis management and in particular security. He has a background in the management of big events and high-risk projects.
This includes thirty years police service – with eleven years in the firearms unit-and a further ten years working national security projects.
Mick has particular experience in security planning for events which involve large crowds, high profile guests, and multiple moving parts. These include Wembley Stadium, LS185 Stadium, the O2 Arena, the 2012 London Olympic Games, high risk court cases, Papal and political visits.
Mick is a highly respected trainer at strategic, tactical and operational levels within the event safety sector. He is passionate about the topics he teaches, and his learners.
Mick enjoys travelling, sport, and spending time with his wife and family.
Andre Regan
Andre retired as a Detective Inspector from the Metropolitan Police Service, having achieved success in a variety of unique and diverse roles. After serving three subsequent years as a Civil Service Senior Investigator, he diversified and became a Crisis Management and Business Continuity coach/consultant.
He has assisted clients from differing industries to increase their preparedness and organisational resilience to deal with potential major business disruptions. He has brought his experiences as a Tactical Firearms Commander to help others understand, manage and respond to risk in a pragmatic and dynamic way. As a Senior Investigating Officer, he has passed on his experiences in decision making, problem solving, team management, record keeping and report writing.
Having gained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), he seeks out any opportunity to develop himself and others to raise performance further, through continuous improvement.
He is a confident and considered speaker, who is responsive, adaptable, and flexible to the needs of his audience.
On a less serious note, he will embrace any opportunity to show off his 70’s dance moves much to the annoyance and embarrassment of his long-suffering wife and children.
Paul Howes
Paul retired as a National Firearms Instructor in the Specialist Firearms Command of the Metropoiltan Police Sevice. He developed firearms officers, ensuring they met the highest safety and legal standards, whilst training them to handle high-risk situations with precision and professionalism.
Paul has worked closely with government personnel, ensuring their safety and the security of sensitive locations. This role required a high level of situational awareness and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
Paul specialises in Behavioural Detection & Situational Awareness. As a Crisis Management coach, he facilitates tailored Crisis Simulation Exercises, that are designed to prepare organisations for various potential threats and emergencies.
Throughout his career, Paul has consistently demonstrated his ability to respond effectively to emergencies, with quick thinking and informed decision-making. His commitment to excellence and a passion for ensuring the safety and security of others, have earned him commendations for his dedication and exceptional service.
Demonstrating his commitment to community welfare and safety, Paul is a Trustee and Safeguarding Lead at Trojan Wellbeing, where he ensures effective support for individuals in need.
